Create Your Own Magical Fungi or Flowers (not shown) Ornament/Vase.
Transform a plain vase/ornament into a stunning, sculptural masterpiece!
Join us for a truly enchanting creative experience where you’ll learn how to turn an ordinary vase/ornament into a magical, textured work of art with a beautiful fungi or flowers theme. Using a variety of mixed media techniques, you’ll sculpt, layer, and bring your unique design to life - all under the expert guidance of fully trained and certified Powertex Tutors.
What You’ll Learn & Create:
✔️ How to use Powertex and mixed media to alter and sculpt a plain vase/ornament
✔️ Techniques for adding texture, dimension, and intricate details
✔️ Ways to create a realistic fungi or flower inspired design with depth and character
All products and equipment are included in the price.
Refreshments will be provided and there will be a short break for lunch so please bring a packed lunch (please no nuts or popcorn due to a serious allergy).
The cost of this workshop is £65 per person. A £10 non refundable (but transferrable) deposit will secure your place. The balance is then due on the day.  We will need to know which design you would prefer to enable us to get everything ready.
Spaces are limited – please note that we need 2 people to be able to run this workshop. This will be held in our upstairs studio (if stairs are a problem, please speak to us).
You will be supported through each stage of the sculpture, from building the base to working with clay and adding colour.
No previous experience is necessary, you will be given guidance to understand the techniques and complete your ornament with step-by-step instructions.
Please note - if you have a nut allergy, the Bister sprays that we are using contain crushed walnut shells. You are welcome to bring a mask if preferred (the room will be well ventilated).

    Create your own unique A5 sketchbook or lined notebook which can be used as a gift or for yourself, using fabrics, a range of embellishments and Powertex - choose your theme, please discuss with us at the time of booking.
    A variety of Powertex colours are available, the note books are examples only, you will be able to create your own design using the materials provided.
    Cost of £30.00 includes all materials and tuition and a hot/cold drink on the evening.
    Powertex is the environmentally friendly water based textile hardener which can harden a variety of materials and both Kaz & Annie are Certified Powertex Tutors for fabric sculpting, Stone Art, 3D Flex and mixed media.
    It can be a very messy craft but with great results. An apron and gloves will be provided, please wear old clothes.
    Booking is essential, spaces are limited, a £10 non-refundable (but transferable) deposit will secure your place. Please either pop into the studio or give us a ring on 01386 304878 to book.
    Please note that we need a minimum of 2 people to be able to run this workshop. Minimum age 9 years with adult supervision.

  • NEW Powertex Butterfly

    Come and join us to create your own colourful Butterfly wall plaque.
    In this workshop you will be using Powertex fabric hardener, stencil paste, acrylic ink sprays and various recycled fabrics and embellishments to design and decorate a 31cm wide MDF Wall hanging Butterfly.
    Once dry you will use a dry brush technique to colour and enhance the texture on your Butterfly using pigments and varnish, the finished look is up to you.
    When finished you take your Butterfly home with you which once fully dried (3 weeks drying time) can be placed outside if you wish.
    Powertex is a fabric hardener, so we recommend wearing old clothes, aprons and gloves are supplied and refreshments are included. It is a messy craft but great fun.

  • NEW House number plaque

    NEW workshop to create your own unique house number plaque, a choice of embellishments are available. This is a great session, you will learn about Powertex and what it can be used for. This is suitable for beginners, before going onto anything larger or more intricate.
    Create your own unique decorative number plaque using a wooden base and upcycling scrap materials and embellishments.
    Please let us know the numbers you require on booking.
    Cost of £35 includes all materials, tuition and refreshments on the day.
