    NEW Kusudama paper flower making classes with Sue.

    Each workshop is £10 per person, you will make 3 flowers per workshop to take home on the day. Variety of colours available.

    Kits are also available if you are unable to make these dates or would like to make more at home. Future dates may be available depending on demand.

    Minimum number to enable workshops to run is 2 and maximum is 6 people – booking is essential with full payment on booking please.

    Suitable for ages 7 years and above. All children must be accompanied by an adult (due to using hot glue gun} for the duration of the workshop.

    Powertex an A5 Sketchbook or Notebook

    Create your own unique A5 sketchbook or notebook which can be used as a gift or for yourself, using fabrics, a range of embellishments and Powertex – choose your theme.
    A variety of Powertex colours are available, the sketchbook is an example only, you will be able to create your own design using the materials provided..
    Cost of £27.00 includes all materials and tuition and a hot/cold drink on the evening.
    Powertex is the environmentally friendly water based textile hardener which can harden a variety of materials and both Kaz & Annie are Certified Powertex Tutors for fabric sculpting, Stone Art and mixed media.
    It can be a very messy craft but with great results. An apron and gloves will be provided, please wear old clothes. You are welcome to bring your own apron if you prefer.
    Booking is essential, spaces are limited, a £5 non-refundable (but transferable) deposit will secure your place. Please either pop into the studio or give us a ring on 01386 304878 to book

    Knitting as a Life Skill (week 1)

    “Knitting is calming, relaxing, and keeps us centred because of its repetitive movements, which can help prevent and manage stress, pain and depression, which in turn strengthens the body’s immune system”
    The total course is for 4 weeks, two hours per night. Over the period of the four weeks you will learn the basics of knitting, to include:
    How to hold the needles
    Casting on and off
    Garter stitch
    Stocking stitch
    Increasing and decreasing
    You will also learn how to follow a pattern.
    Once these skills have been gained, this will enable you to progress to intermediate/advanced level where you will learn to work with more complicated patterns.
    During the weeks you will knit a hat, headband or a cowl together with a brooch (styles will vary).

    Time: 6.30pm-8.30pm
    Cost: £80 (includes full tuition, needles, yarn and typed instructions)

    Annie has been knitting for over 45 years, self-taught originally knitting for family and friends, but now her own work is much in demand as commissions. She knits for a variety of charities including Breast Cancer and Help the Heroes. She has run classes at Evesham College for the past five years, offering a relaxed informal style of learning with the focus on having fun.
