Starting with the basics, you can produce your own cute Bunny with its carrot, to take away on the evening.

These skills are essential towards our future courses that we have planned, so that even if you have come before you will learn something new to take you forward to the next exciting project.

Cost is £30.00 which includes all tuition, materials and a hot drink, booking is essential with a £5 non-refundable (but transferrable) deposit on booking.

The total course is for five weeks, two hours per night. Over the period of the five weeks you will learn the basics of knitting, to include:

How to hold the needles
Casting on and off
Garter stitch
Stocking stitch
Increasing and decreasing

You will also learn how to follow a pattern.

Once these skills have been gained, this will enable you to progress to intermediate/advanced level where you will learn to work with more complicated patterns.

Please note that there will also be an element of ‘homework’ between weeks.

During the weeks you will knit a hat, headband or a cowl together with a brooch (styles will vary).

Time: 6.30pm-8.30pm

Annie has been knitting for over 45 years, self-taught originally knitting for family and friends, but now her own work is much in demand as commissions. She knits for a variety of charities including Breast Cancer and Help the Heroes. She has run classes at Evesham College for the past five years, offering a relaxed informal style of learning with the focus on having fun

This course is suitable for beginners who would like to learn a new technique.

During the three weeks you will learn how to crochet granny squares, from which you can then build and make a phone case or a pencil case or a cushion or even a blanket, the possibilities are endless.

You will learn:

• Slip knot
• Foundation chain
• Chain stitch
• Double crochet
• Treble crochet
• And finishing – darning in the ends and joining the squares

Equipment: all is provided for you to keep (a hook, crochet guide and your finished project and yarn to take home).

Minimum class size 2 and maximum 4.

£20 non refundable (but transferable) deposit on booking, with the balance due on the first evening.
