“Knitting is calming, relaxing, and keeps us centred because of its repetitive movements, which can help prevent and manage stress, pain and depression, which in turn strengthens the body’s immune system”
The total course is for 4 weeks, two hours per night. Over the period of the four weeks you will learn the basics of knitting, to include:
How to hold the needles
Casting on and off
Garter stitch
Stocking stitch
Increasing and decreasing
You will also learn how to follow a pattern.

Once these skills have been gained, this will enable you to progress to intermediate/advanced level where you will learn to work with more complicated patterns.
During the weeks you will knit a hat, headband or a cowl together with a brooch (styles will vary).

Cost: £100 (includes full tuition, needles, yarn and typed instructions)
Full payment on booking please (refundable if cancelled 2 weeks before start date and we can refill your space)
Minimum numbers 3 and maximum 8 Booking is essential.
Annie has been knitting for over 45 years, self-taught originally knitting for family and friends, but now her own work is much in demand as commissions. She knits for a variety of charities including Breast Cancer and Help the Heroes. She has run classes at Evesham College for the past five years, offering a relaxed informal style of learning with the focus on having fun.
