Create your own unique Powertex decorative Bottle using fabrics, embellishments and Powertex.
A variety of colours are available, the bottles shown are an example only, we have a wide variety of bottles to choose from, you will be able to create your own design using the materials provided.
Cost of £35 includes all materials, tuition and refreshments during the workshop.
Powertex is the environmentally friendly water based textile hardener which can harden a variety of materials.
It can be a very messy craft but with great results. An apron and gloves will be provided, please wear old clothes.
Booking is essential, spaces are limited, a £10 non-refundable (but transferrable) deposit will secure your place. Please either pop into the studio or give us a ring on 01386 304878 to book.
Please note that we require a minimum of 2 people to be able to run this workshop and it will take place in our upstairs studio (if stairs are difficult please let us know and we may be able to move the workshop downstairs).

    Create your own unique Powertex Halloween Wreath using fabrics, embellishments and Powertex on a metal ring. The design is up to you, this is very much a self led workshop, we will be on hand to offer suggestions and help and if stock allows may make one too alongside you.
    Once cured inside for 3 weeks, your wreath will be able to be displayed outside if wished.
    Cost of £35 includes all materials and tuition and refreshments/biscuits during the workshop - please note we will not be having a lunch break but you are welcome to bring a snack if you need to (no nuts or nut products due a serious allergy).

  • Needle Felt an Autumnal Wreath

  • Introduction to Powertex, taster session - Hanging Heart

    Introduction to Powertex - Hanging Heart plaque and a little surprise. This is a great taster session, you will learn a range of different techniques, suitable for beginners, before going onto anything larger or more intricate.
    Create your own unique decorative plaque using a wooden heart, (various styles available) as a base and upcycling scrap materials and embellishments.
    Cost of £20 includes all materials, tuition and refreshments on the night.

    It can be a very messy craft but very addictive with great results. An apron and gloves will be provided, please wear old clothes.

  • NEW Needle Felt a pretty Pumpkin

    Needle felt your own pretty Pumpkin using a variety of colourful fibres, you will be guided through the whole process and leave with a delightful decoration.
    Cost is £25 which includes all materials, tuition and guidance together with a hot drink.
    Minimum age is 14 years old due to sharp needles - any children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the workshop.

  • Powertex Hamish the Highland Cow or Mini Highland Cow

    Come and join us on our popular Powertex Hamish the Highland Cow workshop. You will be guided through the process of making your own Highland Cow using Powertex and recycled materials and will be able to take home Hamish on the day.
    Don't want to make a full size Hamish? Then create your own Mini Highland Cow, this workshop will run from 10am-1pm.

    Cost full size Hamish £50 and Mini Highland Cow £25.
