Create Your Own Magical Fungi or Flowers (not shown) Ornament/Vase.
Transform a plain vase/ornament into a stunning, sculptural masterpiece!
Join us for a truly enchanting creative experience where you’ll learn how to turn an ordinary vase/ornament into a magical, textured work of art with a beautiful fungi or flowers theme. Using a variety of mixed media techniques, you’ll sculpt, layer, and bring your unique design to life - all under the expert guidance of fully trained and certified Powertex Tutors.
What You’ll Learn & Create:
✔️ How to use Powertex and mixed media to alter and sculpt a plain vase/ornament
✔️ Techniques for adding texture, dimension, and intricate details
✔️ Ways to create a realistic fungi or flower inspired design with depth and character
All products and equipment are included in the price.
Refreshments will be provided and there will be a short break for lunch so please bring a packed lunch (please no nuts or popcorn due to a serious allergy).
The cost of this workshop is £65 per person. A £10 non refundable (but transferrable) deposit will secure your place. The balance is then due on the day.  We will need to know which design you would prefer to enable us to get everything ready.
Spaces are limited – please note that we need 2 people to be able to run this workshop. This will be held in our upstairs studio (if stairs are a problem, please speak to us).
You will be supported through each stage of the sculpture, from building the base to working with clay and adding colour.
No previous experience is necessary, you will be given guidance to understand the techniques and complete your ornament with step-by-step instructions.
Please note - if you have a nut allergy, the Bister sprays that we are using contain crushed walnut shells. You are welcome to bring a mask if preferred (the room will be well ventilated).

    Come and join us to Powertex your own Seahorse wall hanging.
    In this workshop you will be using Powertex fabric hardener to design and decorate a MDF Wall hanging Seahorse (45cm high) using various recycled fabrics and embellishments.
    Once dry you will use a dry brush technique to colour and enhance the texture on your project, the finished look is up to you.
    When finished you take your project home with you which once fully dried (3 weeks drying time) can be placed outside if you wish. The workshop is suitable for beginners.
    Powertex is a fabric hardener so we recommend wearing old clothes, aprons and gloves are supplied and refreshments are included.

    Pottery painting or Decopatch evening where you can get together with your friends or family and enjoy some creative ME time (over 16’s only). Choose from our wide range of items, with prices starting from £10 up to £38.00.
    You are welcome to bring your own fizz or drink on the evening (please no snacks or products containing nuts). We also sell a range of teas, hot chocolate, milkshakes and coffees.
    Minimum number of 2 people booked to be able to run the evening,
    If you don’t see a date that is suitable, please speak to us as we may be able to accommodate you on a different day.
    Booking is essential with a £5 non refundable (but transferable) deposit per person, which will be deducted from the cost of the items on the night.

  • Powertex an Elephant or Owl wall hanging

  • Powertex Hamish the Highland Cow

    Come and join us on our popular Powertex Hamish the Highland Cow workshop. You will be guided through the process of making your own Highland Cow using Powertex and recycled materials and will be able to take home Hamish on the day.

    Please note that we need a minimum of 2 people booked on to be able to run this workshop.
    It is a messy craft and wearing old clothes is recommended, an apron and gloves will be provided. Drinks included (and biscuits) please bring a packed lunch/snack (no nuts or popcorn please due to an allergy) or pre-order lunch from Cafe Mews next door on the day.

  • Powertex decorative Mirror - sea theme or choose your own

    Come and join us to Powertex your own beautiful decorative Mirror.
    In this workshop you will be using Powertex fabric hardener, recycled materials and bister sprays to design and decorate a 25.5cm Wall hanging Mirror using a sea theme or choose your own theme (just let us know when booking - sea, steampunk, flowers, butterflies etc) and various embellishments. (actual Mirror size 9.5cm square).
    Once dry you will use a dry brush technique to colour and enhance the texture on your Mirror, the finished look is up to you.
    When finished you take your Mirror home with you. The workshop is suitable for beginners, minimum age 10 years (accompanied by full paying adult), no maximum age.
