This course is suitable for beginners who would like to learn a new technique. During the three weeks you will learn how to crochet granny squares, from which you can then build and make a phone case or a pencil case or a cushion or even a blanket, the possibilities are endless. You will learn:
• Slip knot
• Foundation chain
• Chain stitch
• Double crochet
• Treble crochet
• And finishing – darning in the ends and joining the squares Equipment: all is provided for you to keep (a hook, crochet guide and your finished project and yarn to take home). | 11 - Introduction to Powertex, taster session – Hanging Heart
18:00 -20:00 2026.03.11 18 Vine Mews, Vine Street, Evesham, Worcs, WR11 4RE  Introduction to Powertex – Hanging Heart plaque and a little surprise. This is a great taster session, you will learn about Powertex and what it can be used for. This is suitable for beginners, before going onto anything larger or more intricate. Create your own unique decorative plaque using a wooden heart, (designs vary) as a base and upcycling scrap materials and embellishments, plus a little surprise. Cost of £20 includes all materials, tuition and refreshments on the day. Powertex is the environmentally friendly water based textile hardener which can harden a variety of materials and can be used in lots of different ways. It can be a very messy craft but very addictive with great results. An apron and gloves will be provided, please wear old clothes. A £10 non refundable (but transferable) deposit will secure your place, spaces are limited. Please either pop into the studio to book or give us a ring on 01386 304878. Please note that we need 2 people minimum to be able to run this workshop and it will take place in our upstairs workshop. We will guide you and work alongside you. Cost of £30 includes all materials, tuition and refreshments. Powertex is the environmentally friendly water based textile hardener which can harden a variety of materials. Your Insect House will be ready to use outside after drying/curing inside for 3 weeks. It can be a very messy craft but with great results. An apron and gloves will be provided but please wear old clothes. Please note that we need a minimum of 2 people to be able to run this workshop. This workshop will run alongside our Powertex Mushroom workshop. Booking is essential, spaces are limited, a £10 non-refundable (but transferable) deposit will secure your place. 22 - Powertex Funghi or Flowers vase

Create Your Own Magical Fungi or Flowers (not shown) Ornament/Vase. Transform a plain vase/ornament into a stunning, sculptural masterpiece! Join us for a truly enchanting creative experience where you’ll learn how to turn an ordinary vase/ornament into a magical, textured work of art with a beautiful fungi or flowers theme. Using a variety of mixed media techniques, you’ll sculpt, layer, and bring your unique design to life – all under the expert guidance of fully trained and certified Powertex Tutors. What You’ll Learn & Create:  How to use Powertex and mixed media to alter and sculpt a plain vase/ornament Techniques for adding texture, dimension, and intricate details Ways to create a realistic fungi or flower inspired design with depth and character All products and equipment are included in the price. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a short break for lunch so please bring a packed lunch (please no nuts or popcorn due to a serious allergy). The cost of this workshop is £65 per person. A £10 non refundable (but transferrable) deposit will secure your place. The balance is then due on the day. We will need to know which design you would prefer to enable us to get everything ready. Spaces are limited – please note that we need 2 people to be able to run this workshop. This will be held in our upstairs studio (if stairs are a problem, please speak to us). You will be supported through each stage of the sculpture, from building the base to working with clay and adding colour. No previous experience is necessary, you will be given guidance to understand the techniques and complete your ornament with step-by-step instructions. Please note – if you have a nut allergy, the Bister sprays that we are using contain crushed walnut shells. You are welcome to bring a mask if preferred (the room will be well ventilated). We also sell a range of teas, hot chocolate, milkshakes and coffees. Minimum number of 2 people booked to be able to run the evening, If you don’t see a date that is suitable, please speak to us as we may be able to accommodate you on a different day.
