The total course is for five weeks, two hours per night, per week. Over the period of the five weeks you will learn the basics of knitting, to include:
How to hold the needles
Casting on and off
Garter stitch
Stocking stitch
Increasing and decreasing
You will also learn how to follow a pattern.
Once these skills have been gained, this will enable you to progress to intermediate/advanced level where you will learn to work with more complicated patterns.
During the weeks you will knit a hat, headband or a cowl together with a brooch (styles will vary).

Non refundable (but transferable) deposit of £20 on booking and balance due on first session. The deposit can be paid by card over the phone on 01386 304878, by bank transfer or pop into the studio at 18 Vine Mews, Vine Street, Evesham, WR11 4RE.
We are just off Waitrose car park, so parking in the evening is very convenient and easy.

Annie has been knitting for over 45 years, self-taught originally knitting for family and friends, but now her own work is much in demand as commissions. She knits for a variety of charities including Breast Cancer and Help the Heroes. She has run classes at Evesham College for the past five years, offering a relaxed informal style of learning with the focus on having fun.

    Create your own unique weatherproof Funky Gnome.

    The finished look is up to you - using recycled materials, fabrics. Stone Art, moulds and Powertex. We will guide you and work alongside you.

    Cost of £45 includes all materials, tuition and refreshments.

    Powertex is the environmentally friendly water based textile hardener which can harden a variety of materials.

    Your Funky Gnome will be ready to use outside after drying/curing inside for 3 weeks.

    It can be a very messy craft but with great results. An apron and gloves will be provided but please wear old clothes that you don't mind if they might get a bit messy.

    Please note that we need a minimum of 2 people to be able to run this workshop, although as both Kaz & Annie are able to teach both workshops can run alongside each other, so grab a friend, you don't both have to do the same thing! This workshop will run alongside our Stone Art Tea Cup workshop and will take place in our upstairs studio (if stairs are a problem, please speak to us).
