18:00 -20:00 2024.06.05 18 Vine Mews, Vine Street, Evesham, Worcs, WR11 4RE  Learn to Crochet Granny Squares for complete beginners. This course is suitable for beginners who would like to learn a new technique. During the three weeks you will learn how to crochet granny squares, from which you can then build and make a phone case or a pencil case or a cushion or even a blanket, the possibilities are endless. You will learn: • Slip knot
• Foundation chain
• Chain stitch
• Double crochet
• Treble crochet
• And finishing – darning in the ends and joining the squares Equipment: all is provided for you to keep (a hook, crochet guide and your finished project and yarn to take home). Minimum class size 2 and maximum 4. Cost: £60 £20 non refundable (but transferable) deposit on booking, with the balance due on the first evening. 18:00 -21:00 2024.06.11 18 Vine Mews, Vine Street, Evesham, Worcs, WR11 4RE  Curious about Powertex? Then this workshop is for you… Introduction to Powertex – Hanging Heart plaque and a little surprise. This is a great taster session, you will learn a range of different techniques, suitable for beginners, before going onto anything larger or more intricate. Create your own unique decorative plaque using a wooden heart, (various styles available) as a base and upcycling scrap materials and embellishments. Cost of £20 includes all materials, tuition and refreshments during the workshop. Powertex is the environmentally friendly water based textile hardener which can harden a variety of materials with many uses. It can be a very messy craft but very addictive with great results. An apron and gloves will be provided, please wear old clothes. Please note that we need a minimum of 2 people to be able to run this workshop. This will run in our upstairs workshop, A £5 non refundable (but transferable) deposit will secure your place, spaces are limited. In this workshop you will be using Powertex fabric hardener, recycled materials and acrylic ink sprays to design and decorate a bowl with a sea theme and various embellishments. Once dry you will use a dry brush technique to colour and enhance the texture on your bowl, the finished look is up to you. When finished you take your bowl home with you. The workshop is suitable for beginners, minimum age 10 years (accompanied by full paying adult), no maximum age. Powertex is a fabric hardener so we recommend wearing old clothes, aprons and gloves are provided and refreshments are included. In this workshop you will be using Powertex fabric hardener, recycled materials and bister sprays to design and decorate a 25.5cm Wall hanging Mirror using a Dream, sea theme and various embellishments. (actual Mirror size 9.5cm square). Other themes available, please discuss with us prior to workshop. Once dry you will use a dry brush technique to colour and enhance the texture on your Mirror, the finished look is up to you. When finished you take your Mirror home with you. 23 - Powertex Esmeralda the Quirky Cat
10:00 -15:00 2024.06.23 18 Vine Mews, Vine Street, Evesham, Worcs, WR11 4RE  Join us to create your own unique Esmeralda the Quirky Cat using Powertex. During the day you will create your own amazing fabric sculpture using Powertex fabric hardener and recycled fabrics, and then you will bring your figure to life with our range of colour pigments and dry brushing techniques. Your finished sculpture will also be suitable for outdoor display once cured (3 weeks) if you wish. Cost £50 includes all materials, tuition and refreshments.
