Cost of £60 includes all materials and tuition and refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch but no nuts or popcorn due to a serious allergy. Powertex is the environmentally friendly water based textile hardener which can harden a variety of materials. It can be a very messy craft but with great results. An apron and gloves will be provided but please wear old clothes. You are welcome to bring your own apron if you prefer. Please note that we need a minimum of 2 people to be able to run this workshop. Booking is essential, spaces are limited, a £5 non-refundable (but transferable) deposit will secure your place. In this workshop you will be using Powertex fabric hardener together with Stone Art powder to create your own clay, to design and decorate a MDF Wall hanging Owl (33cm high). You will also be able to choose from a selection of our moulds to make your own embellishments using stone art clay and various decorative tools. Once dry you will use a dry brush technique to colour and enhance the texture on your project, the finished look and colours are up to you. When finished you take your project home with you which once fully dried (3 weeks drying time) can be placed outside if you wish. Powertex is a fabric hardener so we recommend wearing old clothes, aprons and gloves are supplied and refreshments are included. There is quite a lot of mixing involved in making the Stone Art clay but you get great results. Limited spaces are available, a £5 non-refundable (but transferable) deposit is required on booking please. Over the period of the four weeks you will learn the basics of knitting, to include: How to hold the needles
Casting on and off
Garter stitch
Stocking stitch
Increasing and decreasing
You will also learn how to follow a pattern. Once these skills have been gained, this will enable you to progress to intermediate/advanced level where you will learn to work with more complicated patterns. During the weeks you will knit a hat, headband or a cowl together with a brooch (styles will vary). Dates:

Choose from our wide range of items, with prices starting from £9 up to £40. You are welcome to bring your own fizz or drink on the evening. We also sell a range of teas and coffees. Minimum number 3 and maximum seating for 14. If you don’t see a date that is suitable, please speak to us as we may be able to accommodate you on a different day. Booking is essential with a £5 deposit, which will be deducted from the cost of the items on the night. 8 - Powertex Hamish the Highland Cow

You will be guided through the process of making your own Highland Cow using Powertex and recycled materials and will be able to take home Hamish on the day. If you are interested or would like any more information, please get in touch. Cost £45 Please note that we need a minimum of 2 people booked on to be able to run this workshop. 15 - Botany Bay Craft Fair
10:30 -15:30 2023.10.15  We will be at Botany Bay Craft Fair with a range of Powertex handmade gifts – why not come along and have a look and see what other great stalls there are. Have a look around the garden centre and enjoy something in the cafe – we can definitely recommend their bacon sandwiches and chips.

Dressing up is optional but why not join in with Kaz & Annie? There will be a prize for the best dressed. Booking is essential, with a £5 deposit per booking (this will come off the cost of what is done on the night) Bring your own bottle (we can supply the glasses) or choose from our range of teas, coffees, milkshakes or squash. Please note that as we are only small we ask that there is only one non-painter, if any, per group. We only have 3 tables available (2 seating 6 people and 1 seating 4 people) please let us know if you are happy to share if you are a smaller group or just get a group of friends and family together and have a table to yourselves. If this is popular, we may run another evening.
